The sun showed up and showed out last weekend, giving us some of the most beautiful weather we’ve had in the “A” so far this year. Because of this, I decided to wear an ethnic print dress I got from Target recently. The background of the garden was perfect for it too. I think I may have gotten a little too excited about the warm weather on Saturday. As you will see in today’s photos, I clearly thought I was in a tropical paradise when Atlanta is far from that. As a matter of fact, we are back in the 40s today and it’s very cold out. Nature is playing a cruel trick on us. The weather was inspiring but it wasn’t my sole inspiration. The garden definitely provided a lot of inspiration as well.
When I saw this dress at Target I almost flipped out! I’m in love with the print and was lucky enough to snag the last one on the rack. I love Target for so many reasons, but its affordable dresses like this one that make up the main reason why I love them so much. Ethnic prints are a popular choice these days and they’re very appropriate for the spring and summer seasons. My rule when it comes to how to wear an ethnic print is to have fun without getting too carried away. Feel free to mix prints as long as you’re careful not to go too far because it’s very easy to look tacky in these bold prints. I opted to wear an ethnic print dress with just a touch of tortoise shell…which can be found in my necklace. Subtle right? I planned it that way.
Here’s my look:

I would definitely say that last Saturday’s gorgeous weather called for this bold, bright ethnic print! I plan to experiment more this spring and summer with these types of prints so stay tuned!
So, would you wear an ethnic print? Or is it too bold for you?
Until next time!
