*This post features a sweater that was gifted to me by J. Jill for a product review
As a long time fan of J. Jill’s simple, yet elegant and classic clothing, I’m excited to be featuring them again today. We live in a world wear most women are constantly watching their weight and carefully selecting clothing that doesn’t appear to add on extra pounds. So when it comes to wearing certain styles of clothing, some women may be hesitant to try new things. For example, wearing a chunky sweater with a skirt. While it may sound like something that would make you look fat, if done right, wearing a chunky sweater with a skirt can really look fabulous!
My sweater of choice for today is the Cozy-Texture Striped Pullover from J. Jill. A striped sweater has been on my list of must haves for a while now. I’m so glad I found this one at J. Jill because the fit is fantastic! Not to mention the fact that this sweater is SUPER soft! When it comes to finding a great chunky sweater, you want it to fit big so that it looks slouchy, but not so big that you’re drowning in it. I’m sure you remember my black midi skirt from a previous post. It was the perfect pairing for this sweater because when wearing a chunky sweater with a skirt, you have to make sure that your waist is cinched. That means that tucking in the sweater is very important. The thing with chunky sweaters, of course, is that they’re big. If you don’t tuck the sweater in, then you run the risk of appearing heavier.
Here’s my look:

Believe me, I’m right there with you. I don’t like looking heavier either, but this is definitely a cute trend worth trying. If you haven’t yet, be sure to visit J. Jill. They have an amazing selection of quality clothing that you will have for years and years.
So will you be wearing a chunky sweater with a skirt any time soon?
Until next time…
