Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope all of you had a wonderful and safe New Year’s Eve! I spent the evening with my family and I’m so glad I did because we had a blast! It was nice to reconnect with my sisters-in-law and act crazy with them. We love to dance, and with my brother Laimont as the DJ playing all of our favorites, we danced the night away! I’m looking forward to dedicating more time with family in 2015. I decided not to be like all of the other bloggers out there by doing a recap post of 2014. If you’ve been following me regularly I’m sure you don’t want to see all of those looks again. Especially when you can simply click on the “Looks” tab of my blog and see them for yourself. I never could understand why bloggers did that, seems a little pointless to me. In the essence of moving forward, I’m going to dive right into the new looks. I want to experiment a little more this year with stepping outside of my comfort zone. Although I haven’t quite decided how I’ll switch things up just yet, I do know that I’d like to try something new.
I’ve been in a sweater dress craze lately. I’m not sure what it is but I love how great they look and how versatile they are. Today, I opted to try wearing a sweater dress with jeans. The weather here has been up and down and on the day I took these pictures, it was pretty cold out. By wearing my sweater dress with jeans, I was able to stay a lot warmer. Tights can help keep you warm, but not like jeans will. I decided to use my blanket scarf as somewhat of a cape too which was even more helpful in staying warm. As FYI, the Cowl Neck Sweater Dress I’m wearing today is from American Eagle Outfitters and it’s currently on sale for $30, down from $69.95.
Here’s my look:

I know it doesn’t seem like much of a change, but it does offer an alternative way to wear your sweater dresses.
Have you ever tried wearing a sweater dress with jeans?
Happy New Year!

Great way to wear my sweater dresses at work that are too short to wear alone!
