Hey Everyone!
I’m not sure what the weather is like where you live but in Georgia, it’s unpredictable. One day it’s 35 degrees and the next day it’s almost 70. I don’t know what’s going on but my wardrobe is very confused. When the weather is weird like this it’s hard to figure out what to wear. My summer clothes were packed up a long time ago and I have no intention of pulling them out. Now is a good time to wear those light jackets and thick cardigans you might have in your closet. You’d be surprised how warm, yet cool those will keep you. They’re perfect for weather like this. Some other great “in between” weather items include ponchos and winter capes. I’m especially loving winter capes this season. They look nice with anything and they’re awesome for layering!
I’m in love with today’s look! It’s on trend, preppy and elegant all at the same time. I found a gorgeous winter cape at TJ Maxx recently and couldn’t wait to style it. I enjoy mixing dark and neutral colors. When I saw the different shades of gray in the cape, I knew I wanted to mix it with an oxblood color. That’s where my gorgeous floppy hat from Wilsons Leather comes in! This hat, the cape and the indigo color of my skinny jeans coupled with a clean, white button down shirt was perfection! After adding my brogues and light accessories, I knew I had a winner!
Here’s my look:

Winter capes are so easy to wear and believe it or not, they’re super warm. All you have to do is throw one on with your favorite pair of jeans, skirt or dress. The best part about them is that they can easily be dressed up or down! They’re a great alternative to wearing a light jacket or cardigan.
How do you style your winter capes?
Until next time…
