Hey Afaconados!
As the temperatures continue to drop and leaves begin to change color, you might start to think about doing a little fall shopping to spice up your wardrobe. And now that you’re about to pack up your summer clothes, you have the space in your closet to add new stuff!
Although I generally believe that cooler temperatures call for warmer tones, I don’t believe you shouldn’t pop some bright colors here and there. At New York Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2012, some of the hot colors to look out for this fall season are: Tangerine, Aqua, different shades of Green (specifically Hunter Green and Chartreuse) and shades of Pink. Those are all colors that pop! I love to see designers embracing brighter colors for the fall and winter. To me, it’s the equivalent of imagining yourself on a beach when it’s 30 degrees outside.
When it comes to determining which items to add to your fall wardrobe, feel free to mix and match colors that compliment each other. One really good way to do that is by popping a dark color with a bright color (i.e. Brown and Chartreuse). After all, mixing and matching is what makes fashion so much fun!
Here are a few color examples:
Tangerine
Aqua
Chartreuse
Hunter Green
Pink
It’s time to get out there and exercise your wallet folks! Fall is quickly approaching and we all need to be stylishly prepared. 🙂
Until next time!
